Boston and District Athletic Club runner David Johnson has returned from his African adventure, after once again completing the Marrakech Half Marathon.
David finished the 13-mile course in 2 hrs 37 mins 04 secs on January 26.
This was the third time David, who lives in Skegness but represents the Gold Tops, has competed in the event in Morocco.
Two years ago he was part of a five-strong BADAC team which competed.
And while his time was considerably slower than in previous years, he was pleased to complete the course after recovering from a recent injury.
The event was being held for the 25th time and attracted top athletes from Africa and other continents around the world.
The winner of the full marathon was Robi Deribe Melka.
The Ethiopian clocked 2 hrs 08 mins 04 secs.
Fellow Ethiopian Idemo Guye Adola won the half marathon in a time of 1 hrs 01 mins 26 secs.
