It was a day of mixed emotions for Mickie Simpson at Rye House Speedway, where he was competing in the forth round of the British Youth 125cc Speedway Championship.
Race oen saw him line up amongst Harry McGurk, back after breaking his arm in round one in Glasgow, and Corbin Pavitt, which saw Mickie slide off for an exclusion.
In race two Mickie faced the same outcome after another battle with Corbin.
Mickie came up against Sam McGurk in race three, but he managed to get the gate and take a race win with Sam in second.
Race four saw Mickie up against Jordan Pallin, another one of the finalist in previous rounds, but it was the Wrangle youngster who stole the charge from Jordan and was victorious with his rival excluded.
Round five will be at Leicester on July 31.
