Mollie Daniels, a 14-year-old from Kirton, is the Army Cadet Force (ACF) Regional 200m Junior Champion, after her scorching run last Sunday at the Princess Royal Sports Arena.
Mollie’s performance means she now represents the Eastern Region at the ACF National Athletics.
This event will be hosted at Grantham’s Meres Stadium on Saturday, June 11.
A delighted Mollie, who is also a kick-boxer, commented: “I like the 200m event as it relies on speed, strength and stamina.
“Running on my home track certainly helped and now I can’t wait for the nationals.”
Bill Thompson, a spokesman for Lincolnshire ACF, said: “Our junior girls performed brilliantly today and Mollie’s performance contributed to Lincolnshire becoming the Junior Girls Regional Champions.
“We are very proud to host the national athletics in our county and next month look forward to welcoming cadets from across England and Scotland.”
At the national championships Mollie will be up against cadet athletes from all corners of England and Scotland.
