Matilda Craven has claimed third place at a national junior archery competition.
The eight-year-old (pictured) finished in the bronze position in the under 12s section of the Junior National Outdoor Archery Championships.
And what makes her achievement even more amazing is that she only took up the sport six months earlier.
Matilda was shooting on a compound bow over the two-day competition, shooting 288 arrows and hitting 242 golds.
Matilda - who is a member of Swineshead’s North End Archers and has been training with her coach Terry Ducker at least three times every week in the run up to this major competition - has also achieved her Junior Master Bowman award.
