Netballers celebrate their season’s successes

THE Boston Netball League’s end-of-season awards night was held at Langrick’s Witham & Blues.

From the offset the silverware began mounting up for the ladies of Boston United Netball Club (BUNC) with the Black team securing the runners-up trophy for League One.

BUNC Amber were the round two winners for League Two and Emma Larkin was crowned both Best Defensive and Most Versatile Player for League One.

The other big winners of the evening were Flexibelles, picking up four trophies in total.

They earned the round one winners’ title in League Two, while Jenny Briley (Best Centre and Most Versatile Player), and Debbie Winrow (Best Defence) also scooped trophies.

The coveted Players’ Player award was scooped by Sarah Tinkler (also Best Centre Court Player) from Fenland Panthers for League One.

The League Two honour was shared between Nicola Burdall (D.Birds Black) and Helen Pick (The Royals).

Other winners from the evening were: Morgan Dodd (Best Attack, League Two), Gemma Elsam (Most Versatile, League Two), Sarah Beardsley (Best Newcomer) Alice Tether, Annatha Munn and Jade Doughty (Young Player of the Year), Debs Wing (Most Versatile Player, League Two) and Laura Kitchen (Best Attacking Player, League One).
