KART racer Callum Sutton, 15, has welcomed a new sponsor on board in time for the latest round of the Super One National Championship.
NHP of Sibsey have kindly stepped forward to help the Boston teenager as he prepares for racing this weekend at the PFI track, between Newark and Grantham.
And Callum is grateful for the Sibsey firm’s help after enduring a horror season, as dad Dave explained: “We’ve been struggling a bit this season – in fact it’s been terrible.
“We’ve had lots of crashes and engine troubles plus loads of bad luck. So, with the costs involved making it harder to compete, we are very grateful for NHP Sibsey’s help.”
Dave took a phone call ‘out of the blue’ from Nick Harper, at NHP Sibsey, who told Dave that as a local business he was always happy to try and help out local youngsters.
“We’ve got to say a big thank you to Nick – he’s been first class.
“He’s given us £500 towards the weekend’s racing with the promise of more to come if Callum keeps improving.”
Callum took part in the championship for the first time in 2010 and, although he finished 27th overall, he was in eighth position after last season’s race at PFI.
The Super One series is where future F1 world champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button cut their teeth in motor sport so Callum is in very good company as he strives to take on the best in Super One this season.
The championship runs until October and if anyone would like to offer sponsorship for this season, and beyond, they can contact David on 07903661025 or at email@example.com.
