Local pigeon racing fanciers competed in two races on Saturday – from Perth, in Scotland, with the North Road Championship Club, and a shorter race from Wetherby with the Peterborough and District Federation.

The national race from Perth was won by school teacher Tony Byrne, of King’s Lynn, with teenager Jessica Newbold, of Friskney, in second place.

J. McFayden was the winner for Boston and District FC.
