Boston powerlifter Nikki Elding took her tally of national titles into double figures with an impressive display at Stafford University.
The 46-year-old won three titles, winning the deadlift with 130kg and also taking the masters and overall crowns in the bench press with 57.5kg.
Elding, who has now secured her place for the World Championships in Telford in June, has won 10 national titles in as many years.
She had already qualified for the European Championships in Lake Garda, as had father Mike Davies – who had a rare off-day at Stafford and failed to book his place for Telford.
It proved a tiring weekend for the family with an early start and late finish, and terrible driving conditions due to the weather didn’t help, but Elding’s impressive performance to beat a highly competitive field made it all worthwhile.
More than 400 competitors took part in the championships.
