Nina Bradley proved she is a real knockout - following her second-round stoppage in Newcastle.
The Boston ABC fighter was competing in the Forest Hall show last week, facing unbeaten German competitor J. Unterkass.
Unterkass began strongly from the first bell, making sure that Bradley was under constant pressure.
However, the Bostonian handled the first round well.
The second round saw both boxers wanting to dominate the round, but the Forest Hall girl was in for a surprise because Bradley hadn’t read the script.
Midway through the round, ‘Boom Boom’ had her opponent in trouble, catching her with a good solid shot.
This spurred Bradley on to land further solid shots, with her opponent unable to continue after taking the referee’s count.
On Friday, Boston ABC’s Adrianna Finch was also in action.
She travelled to New Walton Street Social Club, Hull.
Finch was competing against Bethany Meggitt, who is becoming a rival of hers in the ring, following her recent victory against the Bostonian.
The Boston pugilist started well, but found Meggitt in fine form, both boxers having spells of success.
Meggitt’s long orthodox jab kept Finch at bay, but she occasionally found her way through with her strong back hand.
In the third round, Finch was in control, but Meggitt was given the decision.
Boston ABC are holding open sessions for beginners wanting to take up the sport.
