Hannah Macleod and Crista Cullen have been representing Great Britain in the Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy in London.
The two Boston-born hockey internationals both came off the bench in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to the Netherlands.
Lidewij Welten and Maartje Paumen scored the decisive goals.
However, the duo were both in action from the start as GB drew 2-2 with rivals Argentina one day earlier.
Helen Richardson-Walsh’s brace secured a point for the British contingent in their opening fixture.
Fellow Lincolnshire players Georgie Twigg and Shona McCallin are also in the GB squad.
The Hockey Champions Trophy is being held at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The women’s tournament features Great Britain, the Netherlands, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Argentina and is being used as a warm-up for this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio.
Attacker Macleod and defender Cullen were both part of the Great Britain side which won bronze at the London 2012 games. They are both hoping to be involved again this year in Brazil, with the Great Britain side once again going in search of a medal.
England face New Zealand tonight at 8pm.
