Boston Golf Club’s Ladies’ section held their May Medal - with scores reflecting the very blustery conditions.

Pam Hyde’s 97-18=79 nett was enough to see her crowned the overall winner, while Jacquie Short came in second place with 99-18=81 nett.

Ruth Simpson was third with 91-9=82 nett, also the lowest gross.

But that hasn’t been Pam’s only reason to celebrate... as she has also lifted the Past Captains’ Trophy.

The past captains, along with other lady members, played a medal competition in which only previous captains can claim the trophy.

Janet Read was the overall medal winner with 96-24=72 while trophy winner Pam scored 92-18=74.

Current captain Hilary Calvert was third with 96-21=75.

Jean Markham was the trophy runner-up with 91-15=76, the lowest gross score.

Boston hosted a friendly match against Kenwick Park, resulting in the match being halved.

The Boston league team played their match at home against Stoke Rochford, but lost all four matches.

Another team of Boston ladies with mixed handicaps played in a friendly away at Boston West, managing to claim a 2.5-1.5 victory.
