Cope won the 400m hurdles A race (66.6secs) and then crossed the finish line second in the A 3,000m steeplechase (11 mins 27.5 secs). He added further points through second places in both the B 5,000m (22 mins 47.5 secs) and the B 800m (2 mins 33.9secs).
