Competitors from across Europe will be taking on some of the county’s top riders at this weekend’s International Lincolnshire Poacher Longtrack event.
The grasstrack event will be celebrating its 21st year this Bank Holiday weekend, and organisers are hoping to put on a top birthday bash.
World elite solo motorcycle riders and 1,000cc sidecar teams will be among the main attractions on the Thorpe St Peter circuit.
Heading the overseas contingent of elite riders will be recently-crowned European champion and current world number two Jannick de Jong and fellow Dutchman Theo Pijper.
Germany’s defending Poacher champion Bernd Diener and young Australian Hunter Anderson will also be competing.
World Longtrack GP champ Richard Hall leads the British contingent, along with Andrew Appleton, David Howe and Tom Perry.
The superb sidecar event sees Friskney’s Colin Blackbourn, with passenger Carl Pugh, lead the local contingent.
Poacher champion Rob Bradley, with Wrangle’s Shaun Simpson on board, will offer tough competition, as will Rob Wilson and Myles Simmons.
The event takes place at Wainfleet Motorcycle Club, on Sunday.
Practice begins at 11am, with the main action starting at 1pm.
On Saturday evening the site will host a full programme of live entertainment on stage in the barn, complete with a fully licensed bar, with real ale and a selection of food.
There are also camping and caravanning facilities available.
Tickets cost £20 adults, £18 OAPs, £5 12-16-year-olds. Under 12s go free.
