Wrangle’s Sarah Stanhope has smashed the under 23 British Junior powerlifting record - in just her first national powerlifting event.
Appropriately, Sarah broke the record at Stanhope Hall in Horncastle on September 17, facing some tough competition.
Powerlifting consists of three different disciplines: squat, bench and deadlift.
Sarah squatted 130kg in the 63kg class, which saw her break the record.
It was the Senior Ladies National Championships and Sarah finished in seventh place overall.
This is an exceptionally good result considering that Sarah only took up the sport less than a year ago.
