THe Boston Friday Night Individual Darts League began its 25th year of action this week.

In the Boston Snooker Centre Premiership, promoted Dan Flynn got off to a great start with a 4-2 win over Andy Cammack.

Anthony Bennett, also making the step up to the top flight, beat Sam Dawson 4-3.

Good finishing saw Dave Holland mark his first appearance in the Premiership with a 4-0 win over Chris Royal, while debutant Joe Boothby beat Jamie Robson 4-2, including a 180 and an average of 26.37.

Darren Aucote returned to the league but was beaten 4-2 by Ady Parker.

In the Pizza Perfection Championship, Paul Grainger hit a 180 as he beat Andrew Joyce 4-1.

Two further 4-1 scorelines saw Pete Grooby beat Ali Baker and Darren Emmerson defeat Mick Flynn.

Kev Lenton came from 2-0 down to beat Championship newcomer Jamie Barnes 4-2.

Promoted champion Jimmy Birtwhistle beat Phil Hunt 3-0 as he opened up the action in the C&CTV Division Two.

Two further whitewashes saw Luke Cammack edge past Sophie Marston and Phil Burman beat Shaun Denmead.

Newcomer Brian Wilkinson took on Wally Almond, with Brian just winning 3-2 in a close contest.

Matt Grant beat Jake Lammyman 3-1.

The Allsports Trophies and Engraving Division Three saw debutant Muriel Almond beaten 3-0 by Di Hunt.

Youngster Bethany Royal - the youngest competitor for some time in the league - made her debut against Bob Birtwhistle.

In a close match, Bob won 3-0.

The final game of the division saw Emma Grant beat Debbie Shilitto 2-1.
