A four-man Am-Am stableford was held at Boston Golf Club on Sunday.
The best stableford scores were taken from holes 1-6, and the best two holes from holes 7-12, as well as the best three scores from holes 13-18.
Coming in first were D. Fletcher, R. Austin, J. Vaughan and P. Vaughan with 90 points.
Second went to R. Whitley, N. Timby, P. Kelly and G. Willis on 84, with G. Tyler, M. Jones, D. Rigby and A, Potter third on 83.
Yvonne Wright was the outright winner of the monthly 18-hole stableford held at Boston Golf Club by the ladies’ section.
Of the 17 participants, she came out on top with 43 points.
Playing off 22.6 (23), Yvonne has a new handicap of 20.2 (20) after finishing seven shots clear of the runner-up.
Ruth Simpson, playing off a nine handicap, scored 36 to take second place with Ann Hodgson third with 34.
Fourth went to Lynn Worthington on 33.
The Cowbridge Club was also the scene for the Past Lady Captain’s Annual Luncheon, where 23 ladies were able to attend.
Fran Grant, the residing president, and organiser Ruth Street announced that profits made made from a bridge day held at Boston Golf Club has added more than £600 to the Lady Captain’s Charity, the Breast Unit at Pilgrim Hospital.
