Ben Wilson will travel a little further afield for round 10 of the British Superbike championship when the series moves to the Assen circuit of the Cathedral of Speed in the Netherlands at the weekend.
After a disappointing run at Donington Park last time out, Wilson (pictured, photo: Peter Stokes) will be hoping he can find a good set-up for the Gearlink Kawasaki Superbike which will enable him to secure a good points finish to each of the two races on Sunday.
Racing begins on Friday with free practice one at 10.10am, followed by free practice two at 3.10pm.
Saturday’s final free practice session is at 10.35am to make final adjustments prior to the three-stage qualifying session at 4pm.
Sunday is race day and the Superbikes get a short warm-up session at 10.15am.
The first 18 lap race is on track at 1.30pm followed by race two at 4.30pm.
The Superstock 1000 and 600 championships are not on the programme for the British Superbike round at Assen, but the three G&S Racing Kawasaki riders are not to be denied a trip over to the Cathedral of Speed circuit as Tom Fisher and Dominic Usher will ride in the Dutch Superbike championship race, while Flying Dutchman Kevin Van Leuven will contest the Dutch Supersport race.
There will be no excuses for Van Leuven this weekend as he won’t have to learn his way around this circuit as he has raced at his homeland circuit on numerous occasions.
The Superstock bikes are first out on track on Friday at 12.10pm for the first qualifying session ahead of final qualifying on Saturday at 2pm.
The 14 lap race is scheduled for Sunday at 11.15am.
The Supersport riders take in their first qualifying session at 11.35am on Friday prior to final qualifying at 1.25pm on Saturday.
Their 14 lap race is set for Sunday at 11.55am.
