Father and son Rod and Jonathan West both progressed in the National Singles bowls competition after matches at Boston Indoor Bowling Club.
Jonathan defeated Martin Tomlin to book his place in the next round, winning 21-20.
Rod was not to be eclipsed by his son and played well to defeat Richard Vinter by the same score.
Boston IBC’s Men’s over 60s A team beat Louth 14-4 in the county league.
The contest was evenly balanced at the halfway stage, but Boston consolidated victory.
