Rushby leads BADAC boys to silver

Boston and District AC’s under 13s team claimed silver at the Lincolnshire Cross-Country Championships in Caythorpe.

Jack Rushby had an excellent run, finishing in third place at the end of the undulating 3,375m challenge.

He maintained good momentum throughout the race and, in blustery conditions, finished strongly to claim a fine third place.

There was really good team support from William Wright, who was the second team counter in 10th place.

Ben Anthony finished in 11th position, securing the runners-up team award for BADAC .

In the under 15 boys’ championship, held over 4,845m, Blake Garwell was fifth and Matthew Connolly 13th.

At the end of the testing under 15 girls’ 4,845m race, Hermione Wright entered the finish funnel in 11th place.

At the end of the under 20s/senior/veteran men’s championship race over a testing 9,515m, Jose Ferriera finished 10th in the senior category.

Ady Waltham finished an encouraging seventh in the veteran men’s championship.

In the non-championship under 11s event, Hallam Bedford secured a good fifth place in the boys’ section.

Demonstrating her progress over the country this season, Lucy Raywood crossed the finish line in fourth position in the under 11s girls’ non-championship 1,645metres challenge.
