Boston Squash Club’s Simon Jackson has been competing in the Head UK Racketball Series.
The event is competed for once a month between May and December, at various venues across the country.
This is the second year Simon has played on the series.
Last year he played in the beginners’ category, finishing runner-up in the section at Chichester, before competing this season in the B Category.
At first he found the step up tough going, but facing a better standard of opponent has helped improve his game.
“I really enjoy playing at different venues, and you also get to know the players that regularly travel as well,” said Simon, who is currently 15th out of the 67 competitors in the UK Racketball series ranking with a points total of 160
In the British National ranking, which is worked out on points average per event, Simon is currently 51st out of 340 in the amateurs.
