Donington racer Christian Slater is set to make his debut at the Manx Grand Prix in August.

The rider - nicknamed Bomber - is keen to build upon his success at Scarborough, where he qualified for the grand final of the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup.

This successful showing saw Slater invited to contest the Manx GP.

He is currently in talks with Nottingham-based K.S. Performance and could be riding their Kawasaki 600 around the famous Isle of Man roads.

Slater will attend the Mike Hailwood Foundation training meeting during March to familiarise himself with the 37.73-mile public road course.

He will also receive advice on how to tackle the famous mountain road circuit.

He also has a couple of visits planned to the island prior to the Manx GP in order to learn his way around the gruelling course.

“I cannot wait to visit the island in 2014 and experience the tap on the shoulder from the start marshall that will set me on my way around what is the most exhilarating race circuit in the world,” said Slater.

CS racing are to hold a race night on March 1 at Donington Community Centre to raise funds to help support Christian at the Manx GP.

If any businesses would like information on sponsorship for the C.S. Racing season then they are asked to contact team manager Paul Slater on 01775 821433, or email him at
