Two Boston competitors helped Skegness & District Running Club become Xtreme Challenge champions.

Members of the club were among the 320-plus participants who braved the muddy waters and obstacles to complete a gruelling 5.5-mile trek at Crowle to become the Seven Lakes Xtreme Challenge Team Winners at the weekend.

The team prize is given to the club with the highest positioned first three runners home.

Stuart Cragg and Bostonians Norman Smith, and Lee Winter lifted the trophy.

They finished fourth, eighth and 18th respectively for the title.

The race involved mud, trail, woodland and wading through seven lakes of various depths.
