Wyberton golfer Billy Spooner has found himself getting some valuable tips from current world number one Rory McIlroy.
Billy is currently spending a few weeks training in Dubai as the weather deteriorates in Lincolnshire.
And while staying with a friend he was offered the chance to practice with Northern Irishman McIlroy, a four-time Major champion.
Sixteen-year-old Sponer and McIlroy are both former World Junior champions.
Spooner won the Wee Wonders tournament in Pinehurst in 2006.
He returned to the North Carolina club three years later to become the youngest-ever golfer to hit a hole in one on the Pinehurst 2 course, then aged 11.
Billy is hoping to compete in a number of amateur events in Britain and abroad next year, with one eye on a sports scholarship in the USA when he turns 18.
There is also talk of beginning the new new year competing in Qatar.
Billy is a current member of the England under 18s set-up.
