Ben Wilson is set to make his return to the British Superbike championships this weekend as the season begins at Brands Hatch.
The Kirton rider will be keen to make an impression in his first race on the new Gearlink Kawasaki Superbike and is looking forward to getting on track under race conditions.
He said: “We have now completed our testing and the bike is running well.
“I have taken full advantage of the three test days over the past week and completed a fair number of laps to push the bike to its full potential.
“It has responded well and together we are now ready for the new venture at Easter.”
Wilson had two seasons in the Superbikes back in 2005 and 2006, where he rode for Vivaldi Racing.
He is looking to improve on his 17th and 12th-placed finishes, adding: “The short Indy Brands Hatch circuit is one of my favourite tracks and I realise the need for a strong performance in qualifying in order to be well placed on the grid.
“I have to make a good start as there are few passing opportunities here.”
The action gets underway on Friday with a one-hour test session at 2.30pm.
There will be two free practices on Saturday, followed by a third on Sunday morning.
The three-part qualifying session takes place on Sunday afternoon at 4.05pm and will set the grid for the start of the first 30-lap race at 1.30pm on Monday.
The grid positions for race two are determined on the fastest lap times set in the first race and the riders will take to the track for the second time at 4.30pm.
The qualifying on Sunday plus the two races on Monday are scheduled to be shown live on Eurosport 2.
