BOSTON Rowing Club representatives claimed three victories at the Burton Upon Trent Regatta on Saturday and Sunday.
The club’s new Fillipi coxless quad also boated in their maiden competition and kept a 100 per cent record of two wins out of two.
The men’s quad (IM2) with Elms at bow, Ablard in the two seat, Berry in the three seat and Campion at stroke won easily, finishing ahead of closest rivals Bradford during the Saturday summer sunshine over 1,100m.
The win was also accompanied by the Boston-Lincoln composite mixed quad crew of Berry (bow), Maria (Lincoln, two), Housam (three) and Ablard at stroke. They beat Trafford Rowing Club into second.
The hat-trick of wins was completed for the club on Sunday when the mixed double (IM2) crew of Campion (bow) and Housam (stroke) beat Loughborough Rowing Club by three lengths on the shorter 700m course.
There were also solid performances from Campion’s (J17 1X) single scull, Berry and Campion’s (IM2 2X) double and the Boston/Derby composite (WJ182X) double of Housam and Lloyd.
There is now a two week break before the St Neots Regatta for Boston Rowing club.
However, club junior athlete Harriet Housam will be competing at the British National Championships at Nottingham this weekend in a double scull with Bethan Lloyd from Derby.
