Three wins for Isaac

Boston Amateur Swimming Club’s younger swimmers were back in action, winning the second round of the Fenland League.

The team travelled to Whittlesey where hosts Chatteris also welcomed three of the teams Boston had defeated in the first round - Wisbech, Deepings and First Strokes.

In the first 10 races Boston could only manage one win, from Isaac Reed in the boys 13 and under backstroke.

However, Isaac would go on to record three race wins for the Boston team.

Victories from Thomas Liddy (12 and under 50m freestyle), Joe Reed (13 and under 50m breaststroke) and Chloe Baldry (13 and under 50m breaststroke) saw Boston creep ahead.

Further wins came from Libby Dean-Allen (12 and under 50m backstroke), Isaac Reed (13 and under fly), Millie Prudden (13 and under fly) and Lottie Street (10 and under freestyle) helped the team stamp out their authority before maximums from Lewis Bontoft (12 and under 50m breaststroke and fly), Harley Maddison (12 and under 50m breaststroke and 11 sand under 50m breaststroke) and Isaac Reed (13 and under 100m intermediate) secured the win.

Final positions: Boston 173, Wisbech 161, Deepings 156, First Strokes 80, Chatteris 72.
