Callum Johnson is hoping a big crowd will help spur him on to win the light heavyweight Commonwealth title.
The 31-year-old Boston boxer will face Namibian Willbeforce Shihepo for the vacant belt at the Manchester Arena on September 24.
“I always buzz off a big crowd,” said the Commonwealth Games gold medallist.
“I always perform better on those big nights, when you really get going.
“I want this belt, and I’m hoping the crowd - there could be about 12,000 or 15,000 there - will get behind me.”
Johnson has won all 15 of his pro fights, with Shihepo, 33, winning 23, 17 by knockout, and losing eight times.
