BEN Wilson has set his sights on winning the British Supersport title - after re-signing with Gearlink Kawasaki.

The Kirton rider suffered heartbreak this year as he finished second in 2011 championship, after being pipped by rival Alistair Seeley in the final race of the campaign... missing out by a single point.

With nine wins, seven seconds and two third places from 24 races, Wilson was hardly off the podium and he will be aiming his sights on further improvement this time around to win the championship that is so close to his heart.

David Jones will be his teammate after joining towards the end of last season.

“I am delighted to be riding for Gearlink Kawasaki again next year,” said Wilson.

“This will be my fourth year with the team who are a pleasure to work with.

“We know what we have to improve on this time and why we didn’t quite manage to win the championship last season.

“I have unfinished business in Supersport and really want to win the title.

Team owner Michael de Bidaph added: “I am really happy that we have managed to re-sign Ben for 2012.

“We had a couple of meetings last week resulting in him remaining in the team.

“Obviously we were disappointed that Ben missed out on the championship last season but he intends to rectify that in 2012.”
