Division One leaders Eastenders had mixed fortunes in a double week in the Boston Indoor Bowls League.

They ran out comfortable 6-0 winners against basement side Swineshead (S. Reeson 26-14, A. Field 24-12) but lost 6-0 to main title rivals Holland Fen (M. Tomlin 21-10, K. French 19-17).

Carlton Road kept up the chase in third spot with a 6-0 win against struggling IBC, but were probably a bit fortunate for L. Feary to win 20-19 to back up G. Parker’s 27-19.

A40 made sure Royal Mail stayed down in the bottom three with a 4-2 win, J. Cammack’s 25-16 bettering the 18-16 from A. Hill.

Half Pints moved above A40 with a 6-0 win over fourth-placed Jolly Farmers (S. Lawrence 26-17, T. Nunn 23-15).

Invaders have joined the race for fourth after a 4-2 win over Swineshead, R. West’s comfortable 30-17 bettering F. Scrupps’ 19-17.

Division Two leaders Norprint came across in-form Breakaways.

Norprint’s J. Nicholson won 19-15 but I. Dilley claimed the aggregate points for his side with a 20-11 success.

Second-placed Punchbowlers failed to take advantage and lost 4-2 to Amateurs, M. Greet’s 16-12 just edging out the 14-13 reply from I. Drury.

Golfers jumped back into second with a tight 6-0 win over Poachers (D. Marshall 17-14, N. Ablard 19-16).

Parthians beat Patriarchs 4-2 thanks to the emphatic 28-13 win from P. Sharp, pipping the 23-22 response from R. Clare, A. Bristow and R. Woods.

Boston Park found Feathers in a very mean mood with B. Sansam (23-12) and I. Smith (27-7) taking all six points, while The Crowns ended Strollers’ recent good run of form with a 22-14 from P. Copeland, just edging out A. Everitt’s 20-17 reply for a 4-2 win.

Division Three leaders The Burtons suffered a setback at the hands of third-placed Hotspurs, a 19-10 from D. Fox beating C. Newham’s 20-16 reply for a 4-2 win.

Second-placed Central closed the gap with a 6-0 win over Sibsey (F. Epton 20-10, M. Nicholls 22-18).

Fairways are slipping down the table and suffered another 6-0 defeat, this week to the The Autos (B. Skelton 25-12, A. Townsend 21-9).

Shipmates continued their steady climb with a 4-2 win over Traders, a massive 37-4 from B. Taylor, M. Ross and W. Parker easily accounting for the 19-16 reply from H. Stanley.

BBC beat Vikings 6-0 (T. Vere 26-3, D. May 22-18), while High Flyers moved into the top five with a 6-0 win over U3 (B. Trigg 18-13, A. Tabor 23-17.)
