Upsall and Brand on top in Seniors’ Open

Geoff Upsall and Derek Brand finished in first place in the home section as Boston West Golf Club held its Seniors Open.

Their score of 46 points saw off the challnges of Stuart Needham and Tony Taylor (45) and third-placed Ken Ashforth and Norman Smith (42).

Top visitors were Richard Shuttlewood and Tony Cushing (Toft) with 43 points.

The seniors team were beaten 7-1 at Spalding Golf Club, Stewart Pickett and Keith Boothby the winning pair.
