Boston and District AC representatives took advantage of the favourable conditions and achieved seven victories in the last of this season’s Lincolnshire Track and Field League matches at Grantham.
Under 13 Charlie James won three throwing events, setting a new personal best performance in all three events.
In the under 13 boys’ hammer competition, Charlie added more than four metres to his best performance, throwing 25.49m to take first place.
His other two PB performances were in javelin (23.10m) and shot (8.12m).
In the under 17 women’s age group, Frances Nuttell was the clear winner of the 80m hurdles race, recording 13.8secs.
She then went over 1.45m to take maximum points in the high jump. In her third event, Frances produced a best leap of 9.18m in the triple jump.
At under 11 level, Lucy Raywood ran a very well-paced 600m to claim first place in 2 mins 11.3 secs.
At the other end of the age range, competing in his first Lincs League match, James Rourke crossed the finish line first at the end of a closely contested senior men’s 400m event clocking 59.8secs.
In the same age category Aidan McClure claimed the silver award in the 10,000m, held at the start of the meeting (46 mins 43 secs).
Under 13 Alicia Baxter created a new PB in javelin (10.08m) and also threw 9.24m in hammer and cleared 2.73m in long jump.
Five under 11 Gold Tops gained valuable experience in a range of events.
Malena Baxter’s best leap in long jump (3.27m) came after she had clocked 13.7secs in the 80m sprint.
Charlie Webster clocked 2 mins 19.9 secs in the 600m and recorded 2.96m in long jump.
In the same two events Hallam Bedford clocked 2 mins 18.6 secs for the one-and-a-half laps and 3.08m in the horizontal jump.
Haddley Bedford achieved 13.8secs in the 80m and cleared 2.93m in long jump.
In the hammer Emma Penson recorded 18.33m and she ran the senior women’s 1,500m in 7 mins 17secs.
In addition to his victory in the senior 400m, James Rourke achieved 7.88m in shot, 28.11m in javelin and went over 1.30m in high jump before completing the 1,500 metres in 5 mins 11.1 secs.
In three veteran men’s throws Gary Baxter recorded 7.21m in shot, 24.88m in javelin and 21.07m in hammer.
