Jolly Farmers had a good result in a close game with Carlton Road in The Mill Inn Division One of the Boston Indoor Bowls League.

S. Hoyles, R. Epton and J. Moore won 28-13 which beat the 26-13 reply from C. Gill for a 4-2 result.

In the battle for fifth place, Invaders won 6-0 against Kirton Town, S. Whyers (23-20) and I. Tebbs (28-16) winning.

A40 took advantage of Carlton Road’s loss to move level on points, beating IBC 6-0 as J. Gott (33-16) and S. King (28-15) were victorious.

Freelanders went down 6-0 to Holland Fen, M. Tomlin (27-7) and K. French (16-15) edging it.

Eatenders beat Royal Mail 6-0. A. Field, B. Reeson and A. Reeson won 18-8 and J. West added a 28-8 score.

In the T&B Containers Division Two, leaders Punchbowlers are now only two points clear of Swineshead.

Swineshead beat Parthians 6-0 (F. Scrupps 22-13, N. Barnes 22-14) while Punchbowlers could only score a single point in their game with the Golfers, N. Ablard winning 16-11 and D. Marshall and I. Drury drawing 17-17.

Strollers lost 4-2 to Feathers, M. Hippisley won 20-17 but G. Dawson’s 20-12 reply was enough for the aggregate.

Patriarchs beat Norprint 6-0, R. Woods (22-20) and C. Baxter (21-7) victorious.

Breakaways beat Amateurs 6-0 (P. Richardson 17-13, J. Stevens 26-7) and Boston Park 4-2, G. Gallichan winning 18-13, K. Cooks replying 14-13 for The Park.

Boston Park, however, beat Crowns 6-0, 21-11 from A. Batchelor and 24-13 from A. Pape.

In Cammacks Division Three, leaders Poachers were beaten by second-bottom BBC, D. Sowter, L. Renshaw and B. Mortlock winning 22-19 to beat M. Dodes’ 13-11 reply.

Sibsey keep up the chase and secured a 6-0 win over bottom team Hotspurs (H. Best 18-15, A. Dunnett 28-11) but the Autos lost ground after a 6-0 loss to Vikings (P. Jacklin 20-8, D. Staples 21-19).

The Burtons beat Shipmates 6-0 (D. Bailey 27-15, C. Newham 16-9) and Fairways beat High Flyers 4-2 - thanks to a 20-12 from A. Hall.

Central beat Traders by the same score thanks to a 21-9 from M. Nichols.
