She was only beaten by half a wheel by a much more experienced rider.
Earl Taylor found the pace tougher as a new category three rider.
He finished in the lead group of the senior category two and three race after a furious 65 minutes of racing.
Go-Ride sessions, which are aimed at introducing youngsters to cycling, are continuing at the Princess Royal Sports Arena on Saturday mornings.
They begin at at 10.30am and are open to any child with a bike and helmet.
