Williams wins Boston Golf Club’s Captain’s Day

Alan Williams was the overall winner as Boston Golf Club held their Captain’s Day.

In lovely conditions and on much-improved greens, Willams scored 44 points, playing off 14.

Second place went to Andrew Malkinson playing off nine.

He parred the first 14 holes and scored 43 points to also win Division Two.

Runner-up in that section was Andrew Green with 40 Points. In third was Mick Pond with 37.

The Division Three winner was Darren Overall with 40 points.

Mick Rennison was second with 36 and third was Lee Francis on 35 points.

Division Four was taken by Tom Brown, scoring 41 points.

Ben White was second on 40 points and Ross Nichols third with 39 points.

The event was hosted by club captain Terry Marshall.

Paddy Stocks and Mick Rennison won the Sunday Betterball Pairs Medal on the Cowbridge course.

They carded a net 66, winning on countback over runners-up J. Payne and M. Hoyland.

In third were S. Burgundy and M. Pond, also on 66.
