BERNICE Wilson missed out on a place in today’s European Indoor Championships 60m sprint final by the narrowest of margins – 0.01 secs.
The 26-year-old Wyberton sprinter finished fifth in her semi-final in Paris yesterday.
The top four qualified for the final.
Lithuania’s Lina Grincikaite ran a personal best of 7.27 secs to claim the final qualifying slot in the first semi-final, as Bernice’s time of 7.28 secs was not quite enough to see her through in her first major championship representing Great Britain.
Bernice had previously ran 7.30 secs in her heat to qualify for the semis.
