Ben Wilson is looking to add to his British Superbike championship points tally as he prepares to race at Oulton Park this weekend.
After marking his return with fourth and 10th-place finishes at Brands Hatch, the Kirton rider is hopeful of more top results in Cheshire.
the Gearlink Kawasaki rider will once again have to spend time during the three free practice sessions to get the bike dialled in as, being a new venture for the team this year, they have no set-up data.
“We will be on the back foot once again as we have to spend valuable track time finding a good set-up for Monday’s two races,” Wilson said.
“But the guys at Gearlink Kawasaki will be working hard and every time I go out on track I will be bringing more information back to them.
“We were all delighted with the results from Brands Hatch and I will be going all out to make sure I bring back more points to the team.
“I really like the circuit and have done well in the past on the Supersport bike.
“But, of course, this is a new experience for us all with a Superbike and we are still learning.
“The last time I rode at Oulton on a Superbike was back in 2006 with Vivaldi so we have a bit of catching up to do.”
Racing begins on Saturday with two free practice sessions. Final free practice takes place on Sunday at noon, ahead of the three-stage qualifying session at 4.15 pm.
Race day is Monday, with action unfolding at 1.30pm over 18 laps of the 2.6-mile circuit and race two is at 4.30pm.
Sunday’s qualifying and both races on Monday will be shown live on Eurosport 2.
