Gearlink Kawasaki rider Ben Wilson wants to improve on the two second-place finishes he recorded at Oulton Park last year.
Wilson will contest the third round of the British Supersport Championships on the Cheshire circuit this weekend.
Last season he notched a brace of second places at Oulton at the May meeting, but this time he will be seeking to make it up onto the top step of the podium each time in order to edge closer to the series lead.
Wilson currently holds fourth place in the rider standings, but is only one point away from the top three and 12 away from the top of the table.
The series is hotly disputed this year, and with any one of 10 riders capable of snatching victory, Wilson realises the need to be on top form in order to produce the results he is more than capable of.
The undulating Cheshire circuit is one of his favourite venues and he will be striving to attain two top results on this the first of two visits to the track this year.
The two free practice sessions take place on Saturday, with qualifying set for 12.55pm on Sunday.
The 12-lap sprint race begins at 5pm on Sunday, followed on Monday by the 16 lap feature race (3.15pm).
Also in action at Oulton will be Wyberton-based G&S Racing.
Tom Fisher (Superstock 600) and Dominic Usher and Dave Ferns (Superstock 1,000) all compete.
