Ben Wilson’s season may have come to an abrupt end this weekend - but the British Supersport star is willing to show he hasn’t lost his sense of humour.
The Kirton race ace sent The Standard this picture of his leg in pot after suffering a fractured ankle.
And showing his true colours, Wilson had his pot painted in the green of his team Gearlink Kawasaki, adding a team logo for good measure.
Wilson arrived at Brands Hatch at the weekend keen to pick up enough points in the sprint and feature races to regain third place in the rider standings.
However, the treacherous conditions saw him come off his bike in qualifying, fracturing his right ankle.
“The track was very slippery because of the heavy rain and, as I rounded Clearways, I lost traction and tumbled into the gravel with the bike following through,” Wilson said.
“This will be the first time in the last five years that I have missed a race, so not too happy.”
