Boston billiards players will be trying to beat a former two-time world champion this weekend.
The town’s Q Club will host the inaugural English Billiards Social Series competition.
The event runs from Friday to Sunday at the town centre venue.
Peter Gilchrist - who won the World Billiards Championship in both 1994 and 2001 - will be competing.
The Middlesbrough-born player, who took up Singaporean citizenship, claimed the world-record best break in 2007, with a score of 1,346.
However, Boston players such as Bernard French, Nigel Hackett and Chris Taylor will be eager to cause an upset.
Also taking part is Irish radio and TV personality and billiards fanatic Aonghus McAnally - the son of former film star Ray McAnally.
Added to the line-up will be Skegness’ former snooker pro Graham Cripsey.
There will be 32 hopefuls taking part in knockout action.
The final rounds will be held on Sunday.
Spectators are welcome to attend.
