JORDAN Wrisdale underlined his potential as a future star with a superb course record-equalling round of 65 over Lincoln Golf Club at Torksey on Friday - winning the Lincolnshire under 18 event for the Jennings & Peggoty Cups along the way.
HIS six under par round featured seven birdies and only one blemish, a bogey on the final hole.
Fourteen-year-old Rizza, as he is known, is already the Boston club champion and was a member of the Boston team that won the English Junior Championship last year.
Second place went to another member of that team, Billy Spooner, 12, who shot a three under par, gross 69.
Boston dominated the event with five of their six players finishing under par nett.

On Saturday Boston B started their league campaign with a disappointing 3-3 draw at Cowbridge against Greetham Valley B.
They got off to a flying start, taking two-and-a-half points from the first three games, but Greetham rallied to level the match.
Captain Steve Hodgson rued the fact that some of his regular players were unavailable so he had to rely on reserves when A team players such as Jordan Wrisdale and Nicky Frost, who watched them tee-off, would have been happy to help out had he known that they were available.

His gross score was only bettered by the resurgent Sam Vince, who shot a level par 72 but still missed out on the prizes!
