Motorcycling: Market Rasen twins' misfortune at Silverstone
The cold and showery weather played its part in qualifying, making the track slippery, but the twins managed to make it through the session unscathed with Tim qualifying for a start from the seventh row and Tom one row further back.
But as the race got under way it was clear all was not well with Tom’s bike, and after just one lap he was forced to retire at Becketts with a mechanical issue.

Luckily he was unhurt and both riders and bikes will be raring to go in round two at Oulton Park over the May Day bank holiday weekend.
