Big wins keep snooker league title race interesting

There were big wins at the top of the Snooker Farm Super League.

This saw BSC 1’s lead in the Boston Snooker League’s top flight cut to three points.

Leaders BSC 1 and second-placed Shodfriars 20 now play each other for the next two weeks, the results could go a long way to deciding the outcome of the league title.

Shodfriars 20 beat BSC 3 8-0. Tom Hill, Daley Richardson, Darren Christian and Joe Welch all won their matches.

BSC 1 beat BSC 4 6-2. Bren Bowman and James Shaw drew, Craig Fitter beat Danny Horgan, Graham Cripsey and Craig Lee drew and Sean Swinburn beat John Sharpe.

BSC 2 beat BSC 19 5-3. BSC 19 started well, Robin Alexander beating Gary Charlton, Nick Harwood drawing with Lee Ford.

The 2 came back strongly as Daniel Hurling beat Luke Christian and Grant Marshall beat John Neary.

BSC 12 moved off the foot of the table by beating BSC 13 5-3. Graham Day beat Mario Richards, Simon Woods beat Adam Cartwright before the 13 came back from four down, Adam Brackenbury beating Alan Laws and Craig Elding and Alan Peck drawing.

In the Lincolnshire Handyman Premier League, BSC 10 are still top of the league.

This week they beat BSC 9, 7-1. Rick Ladds beat Rob Johnson, Dan Burt beat Chrissy Allwood, Perry Pagden and Mark Ferguson drew and Carl Baily beat Paul Raymond.

Cons 1 are pushing hard for promotion and they beat BSC 11 8-0.

Paul Goodacre, Des Forbes, Paul Revell and Paul Tetther all won.

BSC 8 are second in the league as they beat Cons 2 5-3.

Ian Dallywaters beat G. Ruck, Shaun Dunmore drew with Dave Whyler, Adam Norton beat Keith Carrington and Dale Sawer pulled two back for the 2 by beating Gary Dunmore.

In the Cotts Builders and Contractors Division One it is very close at the top.

On games won, BSC 16 are top of the league. This week they drew with BSC 6, who still have promotion aspirations of their own.

Brett Skinner and Neil Jacklin drew, Alan Traynor beat Dave Cutting, Paul Spencer beat Paul Argyle and Stan Matthews and Mike Deal drew.

Kirton 1 and Cons 4 also drew. S. Fletcher drew with Alan Haycock, Wayne Burton and Nathan Yardley also drew.

Ian Parnell beat Bill Spooner and Kev Lymer lost to Derek Wood.

In the Sam Dawson Building Services Division Two, Cons 3 beat BSC 14 7-1.

Rob Carter beat Liam South, Scott Gray and A. Robinson drew, D. Johnson beat Matt Povey and Graham Johnson beat A. Baines to complete an emphatic win.

BSC 15 beat BSC 17 6-2.

Jamie Rushin beat D. Russell, Chris Maltby and Paul Leary drew, Dave Cartwright and Jim Hartley drew and Ian Russell beat Jimmy Birtwhistle.

Graves Park beat Kirton Leisure 2 5-3. Martin Hodgson beat Dan Thompson, J. Hodgson drew with J. Pinder, Ged Hall and S. Thompson drew and J. Clarke beat S. Cock.
