Boston CC Firsts are facing a selection dilemma ahead of Saturday’s visit of Louth - where the Mayflower men are going in search of their third consecutive Lincs ECB Premier victory.

Success against bottom team Nettleham was followed up by this weekend’s toppling of leaders Market Deeping.

However, Jonny Cheer, Scott Elleray, Tim Bell, Saihan Azim and Michael Musson are all unavailable this Saturday.

“Louth is a game that we identified as having to win if we were to compete in this league,” said skipper Tom Baxter.

“We don’t have our strongest XI out but we will have 11 players that will give their all from start to finish.

“One thing we have done this year is fight to the finish.

“It was a top effort in the field on Saturday and we will need to continue that on Saturday.

“We are 27 points ahead of Louth so they will be wanting a victory to close that gap.

“However, a victory for us, will obviously increase that gap and therefore pull us further away from the bottom of the table.”

This weekend’s fixtures: Saturday - Boston v Louth, Long Sutton v Boston 2nd, Burgh v Boston 3rd; Sunday - Woodhall Spa v Boston Sunday 1st.
