Twins William and Charles Hughes are the joint winners of this year’s Tommy Clay Trophy.

The prize is awarded annually to the most outstanding all-round Lincolnshire-born under 15 boy.

But this year the Hughes brothers shared the trophy.

Competing at the Lincolnshire County Athletics Championships, William claimed three golds in the under 15s 100m, 200m and high jump.

Meanwhile, Charles took gold in the under 15 shot and discus and silver in javelin.

Older sister Lily won gold in the under 20 100m and 200m.

The Hughes family live in Kirton and Charles, William and Lily all represent the Nene Valley Harriers.

In the Power of 10 rankings, William is currently placed number two in the UK at 100m in his age category, while Charles is number eight in shot.

Lily is ranked eighth in the the UK 100m for her age group.
