Jack Drury finished his Stock 600 season at Brands Hatch in the points.

Friday morning’s free practice was on a cold but dry track where the Old Leake rider finished 10th overall in just his second outing on the circuit.

Friday afternoon’s qualifying saw him almost match his course PB as he ended in 22nd.

Q2 saw Drury beat his PB by clocking 1.32.2, but despite this going faster actually saw him drop two places to 24th.

“I went green on my first two sectors on the final lap before finding a neutral into Hawthorn as my gear linkage came loose, causing lack of engagement,” he said.

“Big shame as I was pushing for that 1.31.”

With the British Superbike race being upset by the weather, Saturday’s warm-up was scrapped, so Drury went straight into Sunday morning’s race on wets.

As the race began Drury pulled through to 17th before a red flag caused for a re-start, allowing him to begin in 17th this time.

After another good start he was pulling them in one by one, getting faster and faster on a semi-drying track.

However, his grip seemed got worse as the race went on.

Going into the final lap, Drury was up to 14th, where he completed his race.

“After a great start to the weekend and great progression throughout I scored points and the bike felt awesome,” he said.

“I love my Triumph, she’s mega.

“For now, I’m going to nail winter. Train hard physically and mentally and I’ll be back in the BSB paddock with the throttle on the stop.”
