The racing fraternity are praying Jordy De Jonge can make a full recovery.
The teenager - who rides for Wyberton-based G&S Kawasaki in the British Superstock 600 Championship - is currently in intensive care after suffering a head injury at Brands Hatch this weekend.
He and James Puttrell received treatment by the track before the Dutchman was taken to the Royal London Hospital by air ambulance.
Kirton’s Aaron Clarke, who races in the series alongside the 17-year-old De Jonge, said: “If I had been on the track I would have been somewhere near.
“I am just praying that they both pull through, I know James well and my thoughts are with both him and Jordy.”
