Boxer Angelica Finch has won her second national title.

The Boston Town ABC fighter was crowned the National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs Boxing Championships victor on Friday night, beating Liverpool’s Abbie McKay.

The two met in Bridlington, the first round seeing McKay try to outbox Finch, who was using her range and angles to keep her opponent at bay.

This made the Liverpool boxer miss and fall short with her punches.

In the second round McKay knew she had to step up, so she changed her gameplan and came out looking for a fight.

However, Finch kept to her strategy, still working the angles and keeping McKay away with straight shots, also throwing combinations to the head and body.

The last round saw both boxers come out fighting, trading punch for punch.

Both were hungry for the national title and both sent blows to the head and body.

After an action-packed three rounds it was Finch who was the clear winner, securing her second national title, having previoulsy been a NABGC champion

Angelica thanks her dad and coach Jim for her success, saying none of what she has achieved would have been possible without him in her corner.
