A Boston pool team have been crowned national champions for the second time in three years.
The Sportsman Cuemakers represented Boston and Lincolnshire in the National English Pool Association Inter-league Team Finals in Great Yarmouth.
The team of John Lord, Lewis Roberts, Shane Balding, Alan Mason, Gary Willis, Steve Mooney, Neil Davey, Mark Kelham and Scott Anderson reclaimed the title they last won in 2013.
Team captain Willis is a former England international, as is teammate Davey, while Anderson is a current England under 23 international.
The team, based at The Sportsman, Rosebery Avenue, beat Croydon A (10-4) and Witney Snooker 2 (10-2) in the group stages before victories against Southport (10-4) and Corn Exchange, Derby (10-6) in the last 64 and 32 knockout rounds.
Further successes against Mermaid A, Southampton (11-9), Norwich Jesters (10-7) and Ipswich A (11-10) booked their place in the final against Wolverhampton Wednesday, who they beat 10-8.
The Sportsman Cuemakers also won both of Lincolnshire’s Interleague League title and Interleague Team Knockout Cup last year.
