Young gymnasts earn their grades

It was the turn of the younger members of Boston Gymnastics Academy for their grading competition at New College Leicester at the weekend.

Eleven girls from the academy competed at Club Grade Five or Club Grade Six.

In the Grade Five In Age Group, Tallulah Hughes finished in fifth position with an overall score of 61.30.

Ruby Gillings came seventh, scoring 60.58 and Amelia South finished 10th with a score of 60.20.

For the Club Grade 5 Out of Age Group, Eden Gardner scored 60.45 and finished fifth, with Emily Fordred finishing just behind her in sixth, scoring 60.35.

In the Club Grade 6 In Age Group, Francheska Heppenstall finished 23rd, scoring 59.82 and Daisy Gould came 26th, finishing with a score of 59.03.

Finishing the competition was the Club Grade 6 Out Of Age section, where Kia Bending-Overton finished on the podium, second and scoring an amazing 63.60.

Millicent Walker came fifth with 62.00, twins Maci and Leah Watts finished 12th and 18th respectively, Maci scoring 60.82 and Leah scoring 59.05.

All of the girls from the club passed their grades and will be receiving certificates from the East Midlands Gymnastics Association.
