Boston Rugby Club’s Colts and Under 16s travelled to face Keynsham on their South West Tour.
Sunday’s match saw the mixed Blue and Whites team take on the Somerset side on a wet and heavy pitch -with the hosts only able to establish victory late on.
Boston started slowly, allowing their hosts to score three quick tries.
Eventually the touring side found their form and a flowing move saw Ayo Adenaike tackled short of the try line.
But the ball found its way to Michael Baldwin, who slid in from five metres out to score a try.
Boston started to play good rugby. with the Andrews brothers combining well.
Tom sent younger brother James clear to score under posts as Boston reduced the scores further.
Tom kicked the conversion to see the away side trailing 15-12 at the break.
Soon after the re-start Boston lost George Baldwin to injury, and were forced to make their one substitution.
Keynsham scored a further try as they introduced fresh legs to the match.
But once again they couldn’t convert.
From the re-start a break from Baldwin led to Jake Bradley scoring.
The conversion narrowed the gap to 20-19, giving the Blue and Whites some home of a comeback.
But as Boston tired Keynsham scored twice more to run out 32-19 winners.
